Pay attention to how she organized her thoughts. This was a speech and speech and speeches can help us become better talkers and thus, better conversationalists. Study her speech. Think about how she mapped out her thoughts. Take the time to think about how you can do the same with a topic you are passionate about. When you are taking your shower tonight or while you are laying in bed, create a speech in your mind and perfect it and you will be prepared should you are ever in a conversation in which that topic comes up. Plan now for conversations that you do not foresee any time soon. Just plan and you will be ready for the unexpected.

Create your elevator speech about yourself and your passions. Do it before you are caught off guard.

Toastmasters International

Most Toastmasters meetings are comprised of approximately 20 people who meet weekly for an hour or two. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian.
